F & P supporting Christmas Toy Appeal 2025 with Kinsale & District Lions Club
Christmas Toy Appeal 2025 – Kinsale & District Lions Club
Kinsale & District Lions Club’s incredible Christmas Toy Appeal 2025 will take place again this December — an inspiring initiative that truly captures the spirit of the season, bringing joy and hope to children and families in need.
This annual event ensures that every child spending the holidays in hospital feels the warmth and magic of Christmas. The response each year has been nothing short of phenomenal, with toys pouring in from the generosity of the public, local businesses, and corporate supporters.
The event is supported by a fantastic range of services and community partners — a true team effort. The Garda, Fire Service, Coastguard, Civil Defence, Ambulance Service, and Defence Forces all come together to make the day truly memorable.
MMD Construction goes above and beyond each year, not only donating toys but also supplying volunteers to help on the ground. Adding to the festive atmosphere are the uplifting sounds of the Army Band and the stunning performance of Amanda Neri, creating a magical moment for everyone.
The goodwill of the public is always overwhelming — with daily donations flowing in, a powerful reminder of the generosity and kindness within the community. Toys are handed over to CUH Charity, supported by Lions volunteers and emergency services. Additional toys are also distributed to Mercy University Hospital, South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, and other local charities, ensuring the joy is felt far and wide.

“As President of Kinsale Lions Club, I am deeply proud of how this initiative reflects the core values of Lions Clubs International — service, compassion, and community. Lions believe in serving where help is needed most, and this event embodies that mission. It’s about bringing light, joy, and hope to families when they need it most. The generosity and collaboration shown here is truly inspiring.”
